Mayweather hints at final fight in September: 'I'm pretty much done with all this'
It seems Father Time is finally catching up with Floyd Mayweather.
After almost 20 years of throwing gloved-fists better than pretty much anyone in boxing history, Mayweather, who has hinted at retirement multiple times in the past, may ride off into the sunset by the end of the year.
"I'm pretty much done with all this," he said during a Q&A prior to his open workout this week. "It's not fun like it was back then. It's business now. I don't really enjoy it any longer."
The multi-division world champion is entering the penultimate fight in a six-fight pay-per-view contract with Showtime, and would satisfy the obligation with one last bout following the upcoming "Fight of the Century" with Manny Pacquiao on May 2.
"Final one at the MGM Grand in September," Mayweather said.
