Indians' search for right-handed hitter continues

While Cleveland Indians general manager Chris Antonetti made a major splash by landing the power bat of Brandon Moss this offseason, one upgrade remains on the to-do list. 

The Indians lineup is in serious need of a right-handed bat with pop, but their search has reportedly hit a road block, according to Paul Hoynes of the Cleveland Plain Dealer. If they do land the right-handed bat they covet, Hoynes notes that it will likely be someone on a minor-league deal, as payroll issues are limiting Antonetti's options. 

Manager Terry Francona currently has five left-handed hitters in his starting nine, with Yan Gomes the lone primarily right-handed hitter. Switch-hitters Jose Ramirez and Carlos Santana feature better splits from the right side of the plate, providing some relief. 

There are several options remaining on the free-agent market, as Jonny Gomes, Scott Hairston, Ryan Ludwick and Nolan Reimold are all still available.
