The Montreal Canadiens released veteran NHL defenseman Francis Bouillon last week and, according to RDS, he has signed with HC Ambri-Piotta of the Swiss League.
Bouillon was invited to Canadiens camp after failing to come to an agreement with the team on an extension. RDS reports that Bouillon turned down two NHL offers, including one from the Canadiens, to sign in Switzerland.
Bouillon played 15 NHL seasons, appearing in 776 games and registering 149 points. He spent 11 seasons with the Canadiens.
