Report: No progress in talks between Blue Jackets, Johansen

The two sides are talking, but no progress is being made in contract negotiations between the Columbus Blue Jackets and Ryan Johansen, according to Aaron Portzline of the Post-Dispatch.
Further to that, Portzline suggests agent Kurt Overhardt may be using the team's recent string of injuries - most notably to Nathan Horton and Boone Jenner - as leverage in the ongoing talks.
Columbus' season opener is set for Oct. 9 against the Buffalo Sabres. As such, time is running out to get a new deal done and to get the center in something close to game shape.
