The New York Yankees selected left-hander Chris Capuano to the 25-man major league roster on Friday, a day after he was acquired from the Colorado Rockies for cash considerations.
The 35-year-old recorded a 4.55 ERA in 28 appearances for the Boston Red Sox. He was released on July 1, and made four starts in the minors for the Colorado Rockies.
New York designated right-handed pitcher Chris Leroux for assignment in a corresponding move.
