Kawasaki left Friday's game after grounding out in the seventh inning, Brendan Kennedy of the Toronto Star reports.
Analysis:
Kawasaki was the second Blue Jay to leave Friday's game, with Nolan Reimold leaving earlier with a calf injury. The source of Kawasaki's injury is unknown at the moment, but the team will likely clear that up in the near future. Steve Tolleson replaced him in the game, but the Blue Jays are running thin on major league bodies with Edwin Encarnacion, Adam Lind, Brett Lawrie, Maicer Izturis and Cole Gillespie already on the disabled list. The team will enjoy a much-needed All-Star break, which will give the wounded birds a chance to heal before the start of the second half of the season.
