West signed a four-year, $2.796 million rookie contract with the Browns on Wednesday, Ohio.com reports.

Analysis:

West was selected in the third round, 94th overall of last month's draft after Cleveland traded up to land the former Towson University standout. His one-cut running style figures to fit in well with offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan's zone-blocking scheme, which could allow him to compete with offseason acquisition Ben Tate for carries this year. In any event, the Browns lack backfield talent, so West should see plenty of opportunities as a rookie, giving him nice fantasy upside to boot.
