HP Byron Nelson Championship: Peter Hanson leads with 5-under 65

Peter Hanson is atop the leaderboard after the opening day of the HP Byron Nelson Championship following a 5-under 65.
The 36-year-old, who has six European Tour wins, began Thursday with five birdies on the front nine to hold a one-shot lead heading into Friday.
Tim Wilkinson and Marc Leishman each birdied 16 to finish the day in a tie for second at 4-under with David Duval, while eight others are tied for fifth at 3-under.
Matt Kuchar, the highest ranked golfer in the tournament, currently sits at 1-under.
