Zimmerman (thumb) can't grip yet, but has been running in the pool, the Washington Post's James Wagner reports.
Analysis:
He is still expected to miss 3-5 more weeks with the thumb injury, and will need to be either stashed on benches or placed in a DL spot in most formats. Danny Espinosa's excellent defense at second base and Anthony Rendon's hot start will help mask Zimmerman's absence for the Nationals, but his fantasy owners likely don't have similarly sufficient replacements available.
