The winds of change continue to blow at Rogers as they have made the first change to CBC's Hockey Night in Canada broadcast.
Rogers has confirmed George Stroumboulopoulos will be the new anchor of the Saturday and Sunday night broadcasts, while Ron MacLean will stay on Coach's Corner with Don Cherry.
MacLean will remain the host of Hockey Day in Canada and host Sunday night coverage.
New additions to the Hockey Night in Canada crew include Jeff Marek as Thursday night and weekend afternoon pre-game host, and Daren Millard as Sportsnet's Wednesday night host.
TSN's Bob McKenzie broke the news on the weekend, and a trickle effect including CBC announcing the end of Stroumboulopoulos' 10-year talk show led to the announcement by Rogers.
