Nets acquire Marquis Teague from Bulls in exchange for Toko Shengelia
In other Brooklyn business, the Nets announced the acquisition of guard Marquis Teague from the Chicago Bulls in exchange for forward Toko Shengelia.
The trade was made official on Tuesday, though first reported on Saturday night.
Teague, 20, was a first-round pick in 2012. In 20 appearances this season, he averaged 2.3 points and 1.4 assists in 12.1 minutes. He didn't garner too much attention for the Bulls even with starter Derrick Rose falling to a knee injury.
The 22-year-old Shengelia averaged 1.5 points and 0.8 rebounds in his 17 appearances this season. He's playing 8.1 minutes in the final year of his league minimum-salary contract.
