Fleetwood carded a four-under 68 in the final round of the Memorial Tournament to finish tied with Sam Burns for fourth.
Analysis:
Fleetwood did well to climb up the leaderboard Sunday, and his eagle on the par-5 15th actually gave the Englishman a brief lead. Unfortunately for him, he lost that lead two holes later with a bogey on the 17th, but he still came away with his third top-5 finish of the season, two of which have come over his last three tournaments. Fleetwood led all players at Muirfield in scrambling while ranking second in both bogeys and SG: Around-the-Green, T6 in driving accuracy, seventh in SG: Off-the-Tee and eighth in SG: Putting. Up next for Fleetwood is the U.S. Open Championship in two weeks, where he finished solo second the last time that the major was held at Shinnecock Hills in 2018. He missed the cut in last year's U.S. Open and is still in search of his first major victory.
