Tom Hoge: T6 finish in NOLA at Zurich Classic
Hoge and teammate Billy Horschel posted a four-under par 68 in the final round of the Zurich Classic to finish with a cumulative score of 27-under tied for sixth place.
Analysis:
Hoge really got into a good rhythm with teammate Billy Horschel as the duo couldn't stop making birdies in both formats at the Zurich Classic. Their week got off to a hot start as the pair opened with a 11-under par 61 in the first Best Ball session. They were able to follow up the hot first round with four-under 68 on Friday in the first Alternate Shot session. On Saturday, the duo continued their hot play, but it was Hoge who was able to make three birdies with his own ball in the middle of the round to keep their momentum going. After finishing their third round with an eagle on 18, the pair fired an eight-under 64. While Hoge and his partner weren't able to make enough birdies in the final round to capture a victory, it was still a solid showing the Hoge and Horschel who both have been searching for some good form. Hoge will make his next start in Miami at Doral for the Cadillac Championship.
