Chris Gotterup: Fourth in SG: OTT in Harbour Town

Gotterup posted an eight-under cumulative score at the RBC Heritage to finish in an eight-way tie for 25th.

Analysis:

Gotterup was even through the first two rounds but ended the tournament on a high note with a six-under 65 score. It was one of the lower rounds of the day, and he may have benefited from the earlier tee time before the wind picked up at Harbour Town. Gotterup gained 3.45 strokes Off-the-Tee, which was fourth best in the field, and he also ranked 16th in driving distance, T18 in GIR and in the top-30 in SG: Approach and driving accuracy. His short game is what ultimately let him down, as he finished 77th in the 82-man field in SG: Around-the-Green, losing 3.68 strokes in that category. Gotterup has finished in the top-25 in seven of nine tournaments this season, though he's cooled off since his victories at the Sony Open and WM Phoenix Open. He's not in the field for the Zurich Classic next week.
