Analysis:

Ellis will transfer to Charleston after one season with the Gamecocks. The 6-foot guard came off the bench in all 28 games in which he played, averaging 8.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists while knocking down 39 percent of his shots from the field. The guard clearly has some growing to do, but he'll now get to do it at the mid-major level after garnering good experience in the SEC.
