Oliver Bearman: Heavy Crash in Japanese GP
Bearman crashed and finished 22nd in the Japanese Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Suzuka Circuit on Sunday.
Analysis:
A poor qualifying effort would put Bearman back in the field to start the race. He would be making progress in the early laps moving up to P14 in the laps prior to his pit stop. Bearman would rejoin and enter into a battle with Franco Colapinto for position. The young Alpine driver would brake in the Spoon curve to harvest energy and that would cause an unexpected high-speed closing rate for Bearman. He would have to dodge the Alpine and lose control, crashing hard into the barriers. The 50G impact would be a scary moment for the Haas driver but fortunately, he'd walk away with just a right knee contusion. He'll look to rebound next round out in Miami.
