George Russell: Fourth in Japan
Russell finished fourth in the Japanese Grand Prix F1 race at Suzuka Circuit on Sunday.
Analysis:
The Mercedes remained the quickest car on the grid, though Russell was overshadowed by teammate Kimi Antonelli. Russell started second on the grid after Antonelli out-qualified him by nearly three-tenths of a second, and he struggled at the start of the race to slip to fourth. Russell fought his way back to second in the early stages of the race, only to slip back to fourth once again after pitting immediately before a safety car was deployed. Though that was bad luck, Russell was ultimately unable to generate the pace necessary to pass Charles Leclerc to reach the podium.
