Report: former third overall pick Cam Barker negotiating with KHL club
Defenseman Cam Barker was once the third-overall pick in the NHL entry draft, selected one spot behind forwards Evgeni Malkin and Alexander Ovechkin. Barker has bounced around a bit since then, spending time with the Chicago Blackhawks, Minnesota Wild, Edmonton Oilers and Vancouver Canucks.
His next stop, according to Yahoo's Dmitry Chesnokov, may be the KHL:
Cam Barker is negotiating with Barys of the #KHL. The signing, if happens, will be announced after the Nov season break.

In 14 games with Vancouver last season Barker played mostly third-pairing minutes, managed 2 assists, faced tertiary competition and was porous defensively.
