Clark won't join special 3-point event at NBA All-Star Weekend
Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark will not participate in a special 3-point shootout at NBA All-Star Weekend, her representatives told ESPN's Shams Charania.
Clark "wants her first Three-Point Contest to be at WNBA All-Star in Indianapolis this summer," her representatives said.
Golden State Warriors star guard Stephen Curry and New York Liberty star guard Sabrina Ionescu competed in the first NBA vs. WNBA 3-Point Challenge at 2024 NBA All-Star Weekend.
Following last year's event, the pair pitched the idea to include Clark and Dallas Mavericks wing Klay Thompson in 2025, making it a tag-team showdown. In November, the league reportedly began working on bringing this idea to reality, Charania reported.
Ionescu is currently playing in Unrivaled, but she informed the three-on-three league she will be absent for NBA All-Star Weekend.
Clark is the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year, and she became an All-Star her first season in the league.
The 2025 NBA All-Star Weekend will take place Feb. 14-16 in San Francisco.
