Manager Aaron Boone is expected to return to the New York Yankees for an eighth season in 2025, sources told SNY's Andy Martino.
Boone led the Yankees this season to their first American League pennant since 2009 before they lost in the World Series to the Los Angeles Dodgers in five games.
The Yankees hold an option on Boone's contract for the 2025 campaign. Boone took over the club ahead of the 2018 season and has led New York to the playoffs in six of his seven years at the helm.
The 51-year-old owns a 603-429 regular-season record and a 22-22 postseason mark. Boone's .584 regular-season winning percentage is the eighth-best in Yankees history.
