Reds select Northeastern star Mike Sirota 87th overall

With the 87th pick in the 2024 MLB Draft, the Cincinnati Reds selected Mike Sirota, an outfielder from Northeastern.
Sirota, the 21-year-old grandnephew of New York Yankees legend Whitey Ford, was a relative unknown coming out of high school. He went on to become one of the school's best position players since Carlos Peña thanks to an intriguing set of tools.
