Nico Hulkenberg: Contact with Lance Stroll

Hulkenberg finished 16th in Saturday night's Bahrain Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Bahrain International Circuit.

Analysis:

Lap 1 would see Hulkenberg make contact from behind with Lance Stroll in a chaotic turn 1 melee. The front wing of the Haas Ferrari would be damaged and the veteran driver would have to pit for a new wing. Hulkenberg would lose good track position and fade to P20 after this move. From there it would be a gradual battle back to the front that would end after overtaking a struggling Esteban Ocon in the closing laps. The P16 result was a disappointing outcome given how impressive the qualifying effort had been.
