A phone call from Adam Sandler was apparently all it would've taken to get Tyreek Hill into a New York Jets uniform.

During an appearance on the "Punch Line Podcast," Hill revealed that he would've requested a trade from the Kansas City Chiefs to the Jets in 2022 if Sandler had reached out to him personally.

"I was almost a New York Jet, man," the Miami Dolphins wide receiver said. "I'm a huge Adam Sandler guy, and Adam Sandler loves the New York Jets. My request was if Adam Sandler was to call me and ask me to come play for the Jets, I woulda went."

The Jets were among the teams to pursue Hill after he asked to be traded out of Kansas City, but he ultimately settled on the Dolphins. The Chiefs dealt Hill to Miami in March 2022 for a package including five draft picks.

The 30-year-old finished last season with 119 catches for 1,799 yards and 13 touchdowns, earning first-team All-Pro honors and making the Pro Bowl for the eighth straight campaign.
