Snoop Dogg doesn't think Pete Carroll is done coaching following the Seattle Seahawks' surprise decision to transition the 72-year-old into an advisory role.

The rapper revealed Friday on "The Pat McAfee Show" that he was the first person to reach out to Carroll after the news broke earlier this month, and his friend made it clear that he still has the itch to coach.

"When he got pushed away (by the Seahawks), I'm the first person that called him," Snoop said. "I FaceTimed him, I'm like, 'What's up coach?' And he was like, 'Man, I really want that gig over there. I wonder if they're gonna call over there.' So he still had the bug, you know what I'm saying? 'Somebody gonna call me to come do what I do, 'cause I'm not done doing what I do.'"

Snoop then floated the idea of Carroll returning to USC, where he served as head coach from 2001-09.

"What I would like to see Pete do is go back to SC and restore order," he said.

Carroll went 97-19 - a record that was later adjusted to 83-19 as a result of NCAA sanctions - during his nine seasons at USC, leading the Trojans to two national championships.

In his 14 seasons as the Seahawks' head coach, Carroll posted a 137-89-1 record and helped the franchise win its first-ever Super Bowl championship in 2014.
