Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green was reinstated from his indefinite suspension Saturday.

The NBA said in a statement that it is confident in Green's "commitment to conforming his conduct to standards expected of NBA players" after Green "engaged with a counselor" during his 12-game suspension.

The four-time All-Star was banned for striking the Phoenix Suns' Jusuf Nurkic in mid-December.

Although the 33-year-old is expected to return to the Warriors as early as Sunday, he'll need approximately a week of regular practice before he appears in an NBA game, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

This was Green's second suspension of the season after previously serving a five-game ban for choking the Minnesota Timberwolves' Rudy Gobert in November.

Green is averaging 9.7 points and 5.8 assists in 15 games this season. Golden State is 10th in the Western Conference with a 17-18 record.
