Miami Dolphins release veteran wide receiver Robbie Chosen
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (AP) — The Miami Dolphins have released veteran wide receiver Robbie Chosen, the team announced Thursday.
Chosen signed with Miami as a free agent in April, was released as part of roster cuts in August and later re-signed to the practice squad. He appeared in four games for the Dolphins, including in Week 3 against the Broncos when he caught a 68-yard touchdown in a 70-20 blowout.
Chosen has been a healthy scratch the past three games and apparently became expendable when the team activated receiver River Cracraft from injured reserve on Tuesday.
Chosen, who has played eight seasons in the NFL with the New York Jets (2016-19), Carolina Panthers (2020-22), Arizona Cardinals and Dolphins.
The move could mean the Dolphins are making room on the roster for rookie running back De'Von Achane, whom Miami designated to return from injured reserve on Monday. Achane has missed the past four games with a knee injury.
