Piastri won Saturday's Sprint Formula 1 race at the Qatar Grand Prix.

Analysis:

The rookie earned a surprise pole for this 19-lap sprint race. Piastri would lose the lead for a bit to George Russell, but would battle back spectacularly to retake the lead. The McLaren youngster would hold off a very fast Max Verstappen down the stretch and earn his first Formula 1 victory. Piastri looks like a top podium threat for Sunday's Qatar GP.
