Report: White Sox likely to sell at trade deadline
It appears the Chicago White Sox are open for business ahead of the Aug. 1 trade deadline.
The White Sox are positioning themselves to be a seller at the trade deadline, sources told Jon Heyman of the New York Post.
Chicago is reportedly open to trading any of its players outside of right-hander Dylan Cease and outfielders Eloy Jimenez and Luis Robert Jr., as well as first baseman Andrew Vaughn, Heyman reports.
The White Sox are expected to make pitchers Lucas Giolito, Reynaldo Lopez, and Keynan Middleton available, according to Heyman.
Right-hander Lance Lynn is another potential trade chip, with the Texas Rangers showing interest in the veteran pitcher, according to USA Today's Bob Nightengale.
The White Sox are in the midst of another disappointing campaign. Chicago entered the All-Star break in fourth place in the AL Central with a 38-54 record.
