The New Orleans Pelicans are expected to aggressively pursue a top draft pick to select G League Ignite point guard Scoot Henderson, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.

The Charlotte Hornets currently hold the second pick, while the Portland Trail Blazers are slated to draft third overall.

One of Henderson or Alabama forward Brandon Miller has been expected to go to the Hornets at No. 2. The point guard worked out for Charlotte on Sunday, while Miller will work out for the team Tuesday, Charania reports.

Charlotte is expected to solidify its draft board later this week, Charania adds. The Hornets also hold Nos. 27, 34, 39, and 41.

The Pelicans currently hold the No. 14 pick. New Orleans can also potentially trade a 2024 Los Angeles Lakers first-round pick acquired in the Anthony Davis trade or promising young players, including Dyson Daniels, Trey Murphy, and Herb Jones.

The San Antonio Spurs were awarded the No. 1 pick and are widely expected to draft French phenom Victor Wembanyama.

The draft is June 22.
