Report: Warriors optimistic Curry will return on road trip
The Golden State Warriors are optimistic that star guard Stephen Curry will return to the lineup at some point during their road trip that begins Sunday, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Curry last played Feb. 4 due to multiple left leg injuries. He started individual on-court workouts last week.
The Warriors announced Wednesday that Curry was making "good progress" and had begun participating in team scrimmages.
After home games Thursday and Friday, Golden State goes on the road to face the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday, the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday, and the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday.
The Warriors have gone 5-4 without Curry on the floor and hold the Western Conference's No. 5 seed at 32-30. However, the team is just 2.5 games back of falling out of the play-in tournament altogether in a tightly packed race.
Curry is in the midst of one of his most efficient seasons of his career, averaging 29.4 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 6.4 assists per game while making 49.5% of his field goals and 42.7% of his threes.
