Chicago Bulls All-Star guard Zach LaVine didn't play in Wednesday's season opener against the Miami Heat due to left knee injury management.

LaVine may also miss Friday's game against the Washington Wizards, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania. He's reportedly likely to make his season debut Saturday against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

He underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee in May.

LaVine recently said that he wasn't experiencing knee pain anymore.

"The main thing is I'm healthy and I feel really good," he said Friday, according to K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago. "Not having any aches and pains and being able to play without any limitations in my own mind is huge."

LaVine averaged 24.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game in 67 contests last year en route to his second consecutive All-Star appearance.
