Two of golf's biggest stars have come together to create a new company.

Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy announced Tuesday that they founded TMRW Sports, a company focused on "building pioneering ventures that feature progressive approaches to sports, media, (and) technology."

Mike McCarley, formerly the president of golf for NBC Sports, is also a co-founder, according to Golf Digest's Tod Leonard. He'll serve as CEO.

The company, pronounced "tomorrow," said in a press release that it'll soon announce more partners, investors, and early envisioned projects, per Leonard.

"For the last few years off the course, I've been focused on helping to lead golf into its digital future," McIlroy said. "Now, by joining forces with Tiger, Mike, and other TMRW Sports partners, we can shape the way media and technology improve the sports experience."

Golfweek's Eamon Lynch initially broke the news Sunday about the stars' business announcement, which was apparently discussed during last Tuesday's players-only meeting.
