Charles Barkley says he hasn't yet received a formal offer from LIV Golf CEO Greg Norman to join the Saudi-backed golf league's broadcast team.

"They asked me if I was interested and I said yes," Barkley told ESPN's John Barr. "I met with Greg and I told him yes. I'm in a win-win situation. If they offer me something good, that's great. If they don't, I've got a great job at TNT."

Barkley told "The Next Round" podcast earlier in July that he had plans to meet with LIV Golf.

It was reported one week ago that Barkley met with Norman in Atlanta to discuss the notion.

However, the 59-year-old basketball Hall of Famer told Barr he doesn't think it'd be fair to keep TNT in limbo about a potential decision.

"Not only are they concerned, my sponsors are concerned," Barkley said. "I've heard from Subway, Capital One, Dick's Sporting Goods. At some point, I'm gonna have to make a decision, plain and simple."

Barkley is in New Jersey to play in the LIV Golf pro-am event at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster ahead of the third LIV event this year.

David Feherty was announced as the most recent broadcaster to join the LIV Golf team July 22. Feherty previously worked at NBC.
