Sergio Perez: Retires after early collision

Perez retired from the Austrian Grand Prix F1 race at Red Bull Ring on Sunday.

Analysis:

Perez had a frustrating weekend. He began the Sprint race in 13th after having a lap time deleted during qualifying but moved effectively through the pack to start fifth on the grid for Sunday's race. However, his day came to a quick halt after a collision with George Russell on turn 4 that caused his retirement from the grand prix. The DNF proved costly, as Charles Leclerc was able to jump Perez for second place in the driver standings.
