Welterweight contenders Belal Muhammad and Sean Brady verbally agreed to square off at UFC 281 on Oct. 22 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, sources told ESPN's Brett Okamoto.
Muhammad is riding an eight-fight unbeaten streak, which includes recent triumphs over Vicente Luque, Stephen Thompson, and Demian Maia. The No. 5-ranked welterweight hasn't fallen short since January 2019 and could be in the mix for a title shot with a win.
Brady, No. 9 in the division, is getting another step up in competition after breaking into the top 10 with a decision victory over Michael Chiesa last November. Brady is undefeated as a pro at 15-0 and holds a 5-0 Octagon record.
No other fights are scheduled for UFC 281 as of now.
