The Vancouver Canucks have signed forward Ilya Mikheyev to a four-year contract carrying a $4.75-million average annual value, his agent Dan Milstein confirmed Wednesday.
Mikheyev joined the Toronto Maple Leafs as a free agent out of Russia for the 2019-20 season. The 27-year-old produced a career year this past season with 21 goals and 32 points in 53 games.
The swift-skating winger was deployed primarily in a defensive role in Toronto and was a strong penalty killer.
The Canucks also inked forward Curtis Lazar to a three-year, $3-million contract on Wednesday.
