Draymond ranks 2022 as Warriors' best championship parade
The Golden State Warriors' latest championship parade was also the best in Draymond Green's eyes.
The Warriors forward admitted on the latest episode of "The Draymond Green Show" that he had some reservations going into this year's parade, but it exceeded his expectations.
"After having three parades in Oakland and then coming to San Francisco and having a parade, I was a little skeptical about it because I just didn't know what to expect," Green said. "And I love my Oakland family, as Oakland will always be a second home to me ... I grew into a man in the city of Oakland, so that place will always have a special place in my heart."
"But if I'm ranking parades because we live in this society that's always trying to rank and compare dumb shit, I think that may have been the best parade. Why was it the best parade? Um ... for a few reasons. No. 1: Steph Curry was acting up, and you just never see that. Like, when we won before, Steph didn't act up."
Green also enjoyed seeing Klay Thompson "acting up" and recounted the moment when Thompson stumbled and knocked over a Warriors fan. Fortunately, Thompson and the woman both appeared to be OK.
This year marked the Warriors' first victory parade in San Francisco since moving to Chase Center in 2019. The team held its 2015, 2017, and 2018 parades in downtown Oakland.
