Ryan Fitzpatrick suited up for nine teams over the course of his 17-year NFL career, but there was one place in particular that stood out from the rest.

Appearing on ESPN's "The Adam Schefter Podcast" on Monday, the recently retired quarterback spoke about the special relationship he has with the Buffalo Bills fan base.

"I don't know that I've ever felt more at home in a stadium or with a fan base than - and I was in Buffalo for four years - but those are my people," Fitzpatrick said. "I feel like I understand them, and they understand me. And it was one of the great pleasures of my career is playing there in Buffalo."

Fitzpatrick played for the Bills for four seasons from 2009-12. He started 53 games during that span, throwing for 11,654 yards, 80 touchdowns, and 64 interceptions.

The 39-year-old also spent time with the St. Louis Rams, Cincinnati Bengals, Tennessee Titans, Houston Texans, New York Jets, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Miami Dolphins, and, most recently, the Washington Commanders.
