T.O. thinks Brady could've won 8th Super Bowl ring if Bucs signed him
Terrell Owens believes he could've made a difference for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl LVI.
The Hall of Fame wide receiver told "The People's Pregame: NBCLX's Fan Controlled Football Podcast" that had the Bucs signed him last season, Tom Brady might've won his eighth Super Bowl championship.
"You look at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, they lost two-thirds of their receiving core," Owens said. "They played the Los Angeles Rams (in the NFC divisional round), they had no production in the first half. Luckily, because of Tom Brady, with his greatness, they came back, they tied the game up. They left too much time on the clock, the Los Angeles Rams, they end up winning the game.
"You put me on that field, in the first half or even the second half of that game, Tom Brady could very well have his eighth Super Bowl ring."
The 48-year-old Owens last appeared in an NFL game in 2010 but has continued to express interest in a return to the league. In January, he pitched himself as a potential replacement for Antonio Brown after the former Bucs receiver walked off the field midway through a game.
Owens is currently playing for the Knights of the Fan Controlled Football league.
