The lead role in LeBron James' upcoming biopic "Shooting Stars" has been filled.

Five-star Oregon commit Marquis "Mookie" Cook will play a young James in the movie, according to Borys Kit of The Hollywood Reporter. Filming is currently underway in Cleveland and Akron, Ohio, and the movie is set to premiere in 2023.

"Shooting Stars" is an adaptation of the book of the same name that James co-wrote with Buzz Bissinger, which followed James and his friends in Akron on their journey to winning a national championship.

Cook, a 6-foot-7, 200-pound forward at Compass Prep in Chandler, Arizona, is part of the class of 2023. He's ranked as the class' No. 2 starting forward and No. 5 overall by 247Sports.

He announced his commitment to Oregon on March 31, prompting a shoutout from James.

"Shooting Stars" will also feature "Stranger Things" star Caleb McLaughlin as Dru Joyce III, one of James' friends and the son of their coach, Dru Joyce II, who is played by Wood Harris. Natalie Paul ("The Blacklist") will play James' mother, Gloria, while Katlyn Nichol ("Black-ish") will portray his wife, Savannah.
