Report: Booker could miss 2-3 weeks with hamstring strain
Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker's hamstring injury could keep him sidelined for two-to-three weeks, sources told ESPN's Brian Windhorst on Thursday.
Booker landed awkwardly after contesting New Orleans Pelicans forward Jaxson Hayes' layup attempt in the second half of Phoenix's Game 2 loss on Tuesday.
The guard underwent an MRI on Wednesday, which revealed a mild right hamstring strain. The Suns haven't released an official recovery timeline for Booker.
ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported Wednesday that Phoenix wouldn't rule Booker out for the remainder of its first-round series. However, an absence of two-to-three weeks would keep him out of the lineup until at least the second round.
The Suns will look to take a 2-1 series lead over the Pelicans on the road Friday in Game 3.
