Real Madrid vs. Chelsea lineups: Loftus-Cheek in, Jorginho out
Madrid, April 12, 2022 (AFP) - Thomas Tuchel started Ruben Loftus-Cheek for Chelsea in the second leg of their Champions quarter-final against Real Madrid on Tuesday.
Chelsea are aiming to come back at the Santiago Bernabeu after a 3-1 defeat in the opening game in London last week.
Loftus-Cheek will likely play in midfield, with Reece James deemed fit enough to start in defence. Kai Havertz continued up front in place of Romelu Lukaku, who is injured.
There were no surprises in Carlo Ancelotti's Real Madrid lineup as Nacho Fernandez came in for the suspended Eder Militao at the back while Fede Valverde again started in midfield.
Karim Benzema, who scored a hat-trick in the first leg, was picked up front alongside Vinicius Junior.
