The Los Angeles Dodgers have sky-high expectations entering the 2022 season, and their manager isn't shying away from them.

"We are winning the World Series this year, put it on record," Dodgers skipper Dave Roberts told "The Dan Patrick Show" on Thursday.

Despite losing Corey Seager, Max Scherzer, and Kenley Jansen to free agency, the Dodgers added Freddie Freeman on a six-year contract and boast one of the most stacked lineups in recent memory.

Even with an embarrassment of offensive riches, Roberts knows that the key to any World Series aspirations this season lies with the Dodgers' starting rotation.

"We are winning the World Series if our starting staff stays healthy," Roberts added.

Los Angeles kept left-hander Clayton Kershaw on a one-year contract and added Tyler Anderson and Andrew Heaney to compliment Walker Buehler, Julio Urias, Tony Gonsolin, and David Price in the rotation.

The Dodgers defeated the Tampa Bay Rays in six games to win the 2020 World Series for their first championship since 1988.

The 49-year-old Roberts is entering the final season of his contract but is confident he'll agree on an extension with the club soon.
