Joseph, who dealt with groin issues last season and then underwent offseason sports hernia surgery, feels good as the upcoming campaign approaches, csnhouston.com reports. "With the groin issues and everything behind me and the sports hernia on both sides, I had both those fixed," he noted. "Now I have more pop, more explosion with my legs. I can run all day again."
Joseph finished the 2012 season with two interceptions and 52 tackles in 14 games, marginal IDP numbers, but has demonstrated ball-hawking ability in the past. A healthy Joseph will be a valuable asset in the Texans' pass defense this season, and if he can make some more plays that result in turnovers, a plausible scenario, he should also regain IDP utility in the process.
