"White Men Can't Jump" is being rebooted.

Rapper Jack Harlow has been cast as one of the leads in a remake of the 1992 basketball comedy that starred Wesley Snipes and Woody Harrelson, reports Justin Kroll of Deadline. The movie will mark Harlow's acting debut; he "got the lead after his first-ever screen audition, immediately winning over the filmmakers and execs," according to Kroll.

Filmmaker Calmatic is set to direct the movie based on a script by "Black-ish" creator Kenya Barris and Doug Hall. Brooklyn Nets forward Blake Griffin and former NFL center Ryan Kalil will executive produce the film through their company Mortal Media.

The original "White Men Can't Jump" follows two street basketball hustlers who join forces to double their chances of winning money on the courts. It was the 16th-highest-grossing movie of 1992, making $90.8 million worldwide.

Harlow released his debut studio album, "Thats What They All Say," in 2020. The 23-year-old was among the competitors in this year's NBA All-Star Celebrity Game during All-Star Weekend in Cleveland.
