LeBron James offered some advice to Tom Brady ahead of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback's anticipated return to New England.

While appearing on ESPN's Monday Night Football broadcast with Peyton and Eli Manning, James reflected on his first game back in Cleveland in 2010 after leaving the Cavaliers to join the Miami Heat as a free agent.

"I remember that day like it was yesterday," James said, according to Phil Perry of NBC Sports Boston. "Dec. 2, 2010. It was rough. I got no sleep the night before. I already knew the adversity and how crazy it was going to be.

"I know Tom's done so many great things down there in Foxborough, down there with the Patriots. But they're gonna root for who they root for, and you know they root for the Pats. It can get real ugly. You gotta go in there and quiet the crowd like I was able to do that night of Dec. 2, 2010."

James was showered with boos and chants of "Scottie Pippen" in his return to Cleveland. He finished the game with 38 points, eight assists, and five rebounds while leading the Heat to a 118-90 victory over his former team.

Brady will face Bill Belichick and the Patriots on Sunday for the first time since leaving as a free agent. The passer said earlier this week he's not expecting a "homecoming" in his return, though Brady anticipates a "great night of football."
