Kentucky Derby champion Medina Spirit will race in Saturday's Preakness Stakes after trainer Bob Baffert agreed to provide pre-race blood testing and a medical review, Baffert's lawyer announced Tuesday, according to reporter Eric Crawford.

Baffert's other horse in the field at the Preakness, Concert Tour, will also be subject to testing. Concert Tour did not compete at the Kentucky Derby.

Medina Spirit had dermatitis treated with an antifungal ointment containing the steroid betamethasone, which caused the horse to fail a drug test after winning the first jewel of the Triple Crown on May 1. The test returned a positive result with 21 picograms of the banned substance - twice the limit permitted by Kentucky horse racing regulations.

If a second round of testing shows betamethasone in Medina Spirit's system, he'll be disqualified from the Derby, and runner-up Mandaloun will be declared the winner.
