David Gilliland: Daytona Truck Start

David Gilliland Racing announced that Black's Tire and Auto Service will partner with veteran driver and team co-owner Gilliland for the upcoming season opening NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Daytona International Speedway.

Analysis:

The owner/driver has transitioned more into the ownership realm the last couple seasons, but Gilliland sometimes makes a start in the truck series. He'll pilot the team's No. 17 Ford F-150 at Daytona for the season-opener. Gilliland has three-career Daytona starts in this division of NASCAR with one Top-10 finish to his credit. He should challenge the Top 10 in Friday night's NextEra Energy 250.
