Despite some controversy over Notre Dame earning the No. 4 spot over Texas A&M in the College Football Playoff, it appears there is plenty of support for the Fighting Irish across the United States.
A map created by Betonline.ag using geotagged Twitter data gathered since the rankings were revealed Sunday shows the Fighting Irish have the most states rooting for them out of the four teams with 19. Over 175,000 tweets were tracked, including fan hashtags in each state.
No. 1 Alabama was the most popular team in 15 states, while No. 2 Clemson and No. 3 Ohio State each picked up eight states.

Notre Dame will face Alabama in the Rose Bowl at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Jan. 1, 2021.
