MJ's gifts to security guard featured in 'The Last Dance' up for auction
Several items Michael Jordan gifted to longtime personal security guard John Michael Wozniak have hit the auction block.
Wozniak, a United States Army veteran and former narcotics officer with the Chicago Police Department, went viral after beating Jordan at a game of quarters and breaking out his famous shrug in "The Last Dance" documentary series.
The items being auctioned off by Leland's include a diamond-studded ring celebrating Jordan's sixth NBA championship, a Rolex watch Jordan gave Wozniak for Christmas in 1993, one of Jordan's game-worn Washington Wizards jerseys, and Wozniak's Chicago Bulls security jacket.
Wozniak died in January at the age of 69 following a battle with cancer. His son, Nicholi Wozniak, told Nashville's NewsChannel 5 in May that Jordan saw his father "as a brother and a friend."
